Grace was a prominent artist and personality in Carmel from 1943 through 1968. During that time she was at the center of a very colorful group of artists/intellectuals including her artist husband, Sam Colburn, Eldon and Virginia Dedini, Jean Varda, Eric Burne, and Salvador Dali among others.
